Size Guide & Measurement Chart

Find your perfect fit. Our size guide covers US, EU, UK, and Chinese sizes with detailed bust, waist, and hip measurements in both inches and centimeters. Learn how to measure correctly for custom clothing manufacturing.

Women's Size Chart

Our garments follow standard US sizing. Chinese factory sizing tends to run 1 size smaller than US — we adjust patterns to US standards automatically. All measurements are body measurements, not garment measurements.

How to Measure Yourself

Use a soft measuring tape. Wear lightweight clothing (or measure over underwear for accuracy). Stand relaxed with arms at your sides.

1

Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. Make sure the tape is snug but not tight, and breathe normally.

2

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline — the narrowest part of your torso, usually above the belly button. Don't pull in your stomach; stand relaxed.

3

Hip

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks, approximately 8 inches below your waist. Keep feet together and the tape parallel to the floor.

4

Length (for dresses)

For dress length, measure from the highest point of your shoulder (near the neck) down to the desired hemline. For maxi dresses, measure to your ankle or floor.

Plus-Size Manufacturing

We manufacture sizes up to 3XL (US 22-24). Plus-size patterns require special grade rules to ensure proper fit — we don't simply scale up smaller sizes. Our plus-size grading accounts for:

  • Different bust-to-waist ratio (plus-size bodies carry weight differently)
  • Extended armhole depth and sleeve width adjustment
  • Longer front bodice to accommodate belly curve
  • Wider hip grading with proper crotch depth for pants
  • Neckline adjustments to prevent gaping
  • Fabric drape testing on plus-size fit models

Custom Sizing for Your Brand

If you're ordering custom clothing from us, you can define your own size chart. Here's what we need:

What to Provide in Your Tech Pack

1. Size range: Tell us which sizes you want (e.g., S-XL or XS-3XL)

2. Grade rules: The measurement difference between sizes (e.g., 1" between bust sizes)

3. Fit model measurements: If you have a fit model, provide their measurements as the base size

4. Ease allowance: How much larger the garment should be than the body measurement (2-4" for fitted, 4-6" for relaxed, 6-8" for loose)

5. Length preferences: Specify desired dress length, sleeve length, inseam, etc.

Common Sizing Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't use Chinese factory sizes for US/EU markets — they run 1 size smaller
  • Always provide measurements in BOTH inches and centimeters to avoid conversion errors
  • Specify body measurements vs. garment measurements clearly in your tech pack
  • Test with a fitting sample before bulk production — never skip the fit sample stage
  • Include a size chart on your product pages — it reduces returns by 30%
  • Consider offering "in-between" sizes (e.g., S/M) for brands targeting specific demographics

Garment Measurements vs. Body Measurements

The size chart above shows body measurements. Garment measurements will be larger to allow for movement and comfort. This difference is called "ease."

Garment Type Fit Style Bust Ease Waist Ease Hip Ease
DressesFitted (Bodycon)1-2"0.5-1"1-2"
DressesRegular Fit2-3"1-2"2-3"

Pants/BottomsFitted0.5-1"1-2"

Example: A size M dress with "regular fit" has a body bust of 35" (89cm). The garment bust will measure approximately 37-38" (94-97cm).
